There goes our Wilds after all the loggings .

April 08 club trip.

Sg Teratak-
By Alyna Tai

This weekend trips did not turns up as expected by some members who said this is not "Light and Easy" ..Alyna. The proposed campsite was booked by early birds and further we were approach to camp across few days b4 event. Having seen how a Freelander crossing without a problem they wants us to camp across. True enough when we arived the whole campsite is taken over. We were greeted by smiles, camera, video on. Not having any choice we have to cross and find a campsite. But crossing a rocky river as shown seems to be not what i quoted as "Light and Easy". I must appologise to the members and not even knowing the track which we recce were beautiful are now with few muddy puddle because of moving Logging trucks. Next time i will try to provide info with weather report attached. Ha..ha.. Anyway thank you to all who make this trip possible and on behalf of the club i welcomes the 6 new members esp Lu Foo Siong (Volvo Axle King frm Tanjong Malim).

Sg Teratak aka Ulu Bernam
By Mohd Suffian Tunggal

It was a very sad & disappointing moment as I slowly tread in this once beautiful haven when I saw bulldozers park along the route & stags of logs from deforestation..
This famous offroad hideaway is now in the midst of logging activities that is swiftly ongoing much to our despair. Please save Sg. Bernam & its serenity from being polluted... :(

LROM RECCE
By Alyna Tai

Here's some shot on our weekend recce for the club trip with Freelander Pac 8 Suffian and Defender 90 Rashid. I jump in the Freelander cos Rashid got a JR co driver. We went around to 2-3 spots to recce some new camping site. Check it out what happen. ...it turns out a good lesson to the NEW recce team for not bringing any recovery at all except a parang in Freelander with lots of Beverage and biscuit. All turns out well with a good lesson to the owner and playin in the rain too.

Taman Negara Expedition
By Abdul Rashid Isa

On 14th March 2008, our group comprising several members and friends of LROM went on an extended 4x4 trip in Taman Negara, Pahang. The 198 km route is following a loop entering at the Lepar oil palm plantation, passing through Kampung Mat Daling and then exiting at Kuala Tahan. Two days of exciting off-road driving with lots of fun and thrills. The radio frequency was constantly jammed up with desperate calls for help, unsolicited advice on diff locking/HDC, and songs of joy as we struggled past the numerous obstacles along the way. All in all we had an exhausting but wonderful weekend in the wilderness and wish to share the photos with you.

Religion
By Alyna Tai

A revisit after 1 year to several places recently and guess...what i found. Our 10th anniversary event trophy was display proudly by the winner high up the wall like a chinese altar and also stumble a statue of hand holding a gun during communist era in a plantation.
